Fifth Grade Author Visit - $6,000
In March, the MEF and the Morris School District hosted Wendy Mass, New York Times bestselling author of over 30 novels for young people. All fifth-grade students were bussed to Frelinghuysen Middle School to learn about how Ms. Mass develops her stories from idea conception to having a book published.
Students and teachers alike were especially eager to hear insights into her novel, "Bob", which students will read together in class. One student was visibly overwhelmed with excitement to meet her favorite author! Once they returned to their schools, all students received their own copy of the book signed by Ms. Mass.
